The Institute has the mandate to focus on “Pre- Clinical Research and Drug Standardization”. The other priority areas of Research include;

  • Clinical Research
  • Health care services through Out–Patient Department (OPD) &  In-Patient Department (IPD)      
  • Special facility for Panchakarma and Ksharasutra therapy.
  • Tribal Health Care Research Programme under TSP
  • Ayurveda Mobile Health Care Programme under Scheduled Castes Sub Plan (SCSP)
  • Peripheral pharmacovigilance center.

The institute is equipped with a 25-bed indoor facility and provides comprehensive OPD services. Every day, three OPDs are conducted—two dedicated to general patients and one specifically for geriatric care. In the general OPDs, patients presenting with a range of conditions, including joint disorders, metabolic and skin diseases, anorectal and abdominal disorders, as well as respiratory illnesses, are treated using Ayurvedic therapies, supported by Panchkarma procedures and Kshara Sutra treatment.
